Establishment of Pears cultivation

  • Spacing of rows and plants = 4.5 * 4.0
  • The size of the holes            = 60 * 60* 60
  • If the soil pH is less than 5 pH, Two weeks before planting, apply 500g Dolomites per hole.
  • Three to four days before planting, it is suitable to apply 10 -15kg organic manure per hole.

Weeding

  • It is very important to keep the plants free of weeds.
  • The weeds should be removed within 30 cm from the base of the tree until about two years about planting.

  • After 5-6 years of planting a Budded tree harvesting can be done.
  • Harvesting is done in June-August
  • About 300-350 yield can be gained from 10-12 years old tree.
  • About 600 yield can be gained from a tree older than 12years.
